Our Vinyl Siding Installation Process:

  1. Measure the area: Measure the length and height of the walls where you want to install vinyl siding. This will give you an idea of how much siding you will need.
  2. Prepare the walls: Make sure the walls are clean, smooth, and free of any obstructions or damage. Repair any damage and install a moisture barrier if necessary.
  3. Install trim: Install trim around doors, windows and corners using J-channel, corner posts and other types of trim.
  4. Install the starter strip: Install a starter strip at the bottom of the wall to hold the first row of siding in place.
  5. Install the siding panels: Starting at a corner, install the first panel of siding and nail it to the wall using the nailing flange. Continue installing panels, making sure to overlap them and nail them securely.
  6. Cut and trim the siding: Cut the siding panels to size as needed and trim around windows, doors and other obstacles.
  7. Install accessories: Install accessories like vents, outlets and light fixtures, using special trim pieces designed for these applications.
  8. Finish the job: Install a top trim piece to finish off the top edge of the siding, and clean up any debris or scraps from the job site.

Advantages of vinyl siding

Vinyl siding is a popular choice for homeowners due to its low-maintenance, durability, energy efficiency, affordability and versatility in terms of color and style options. It does not require painting, staining, or sealing, can withstand harsh weather conditions and comes in a range of options to complement a home's architecture. Vinyl siding is also an affordable and practical way to enhance a home's curb appeal and protect it from the elements.

How much does vinyl siding cost?

The cost of vinyl siding installation can range from $3 to $8 per square foot of siding, not including any additional costs for insulation, trim or other accessories. For an average-sized home with 1,500 square feet of exterior wall surface, this could result in a total cost of $4,500 to $12,000. We offer siding financing on all of our Wisconsin siding projects.
